A call to action (CTA) is your way of asking your ideal client to make a next step. Your call to action could be something as simple as “Comment Below” or “Sign Up For Updates”.
Whatever your goal is, there is a formula to creating an irresistible call to action.
Step 1: Decide 1 Thing YouWant Them to Do
Do you want them to comment, sign up for an opportunity, or buy or download something? You can choose anything, but you should pick only 1 thing. For example, we wouldn’t want to say “COMMENT below or email me” – Choose which one you’d like to happen.
Step 2: Plus Make it Easy
If you want them to email you – make your email available in that post. For example, “Email me at email@example.com to claim your spot!”
Step 3: Then Add Create Value + Urgency
You’ll want to create something of value to make your ideal client want to take action, and the urgency will help encourage them to take action now versus later. For example, “We only have 3 spots left so e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org to claim your membership before it’s too late!”
Step 4: Mix It Up & Repeat
Every single post you make shouldn’t require someone to do something for you. Create valuable content and then mix in a Call to Action that requires them to take some kind of action quickly occasionally. We aim for 1-2 Call to Action posts a week on Facebook. Our email list only has a call to action every other month or so.
