3 Tools for Grow Your Email list
We suggest having these 3 essential tools to your email marketing strategy. They are a website or blog, a way to collect the emails like an opt-in service, and then an email marketing service to send automated emails to your list.
- a self-hosted WordPress blog – You can get our guide to start a blog here.
- a way to collect email addresses – We like Leadpages For Pop-Ups, Forms and Landing Pages.
- an email marketing tool – We love Convertkit or Aweber.
Before You Start Your Email Marketing Strategy
Before you start growing your list, it’s important to look at your social and business circle right now.
Your family, friends, and current followers will be the most willing to opt-in and quickly.
These are also the people you can ask about what kind of content they’d like to receive in your niche!
This feedback can you create a really awesome lead magnet to continue to attract new subscribers.

5 Ways to Grow Your Email List Like Crazy
Now that we’ve connected with our warm market, it’s time to start growing our email list with new people!
We’ll provide tips to grow your email through:
1. Your Website
The best places to add a call to action on your website are:
- side bar
- below each blog post or page
- a small, timed pop-up
- within content when it makes sense (more on that below!)
2. Create & Share Free Offers
Know the Rules
Know each social media channels policies about promoting contests before sharing about it. Facebook is infamous for shutting accounts down for running contests against their policies and procedures.
Collaborating with other bloggers or business owners can be a great way to grow your email list.
We suggest finding someone that aligns with your brand but isn’t a direct competitor. For example, a wine company could pair with a fine stemware company or a personal trainer could work with a registered dietitian.
5. Other Ways to Get The Word Out
We’ve covered a lot of ways to optimize your email marketing, but we wanted to leave you with a few other ideas before we wrap up!
If you’ve created a weekly newsletter or generic lead magnet people will love, share it!
A Few Places to Share Your Offer

- social media profiles
- ads on social media
- social media posts
- as a link on guest posts and interviews
- Instagram stories

Avoid These 2 Pain Points
As we’ve grown our email list, we’ve learned some important things along the way. So we want to also make sure you avoid these 2 big mistakes!
If you’re part of a network marketing company, we highly suggest checking out any email marketing service’s policies and procedures before deciding on a company.
Popular email services like MailChimp and Constant Contact state in their terms that using their services for network marketing is against their rules, and they can shut you down without warning. This would be an awful way to lose your email list you’ve worked so hard to build!
