Reading became one of our habits in 2011, and our lives were forever changed. Whether we’re actually picking up a book to read or listening on Audible, we aim for at least 10 minutes of personal development a day. Now, we’re launching The Kim and Kalee Show Book Club where we share our favorite books each month!
Tips to Start Reading
- Set a time in your morning routine or nightly routine
- Invite someone to read the same book with you (like us!)
- Consider an audio version like Audible.
- Listen to your book as you drive, put on makeup, cook, or even shower!
January’s Book: The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin
We love this book because Gretchen is so approachable! She has a great life, but she’s seeking to be happier and more resilient.
She sets 12 areas to focus on for the year and tackles one each month until December where everything comes together!
We’re in love with the stories and examples she gives, as well as, the action steps she provides to overarching ideas like “have a good marriage” or “be a good parent”.
Another perk? She actually reads the book if you listen to the Audible version.
