How does Nuuly work?
You’ll pick out your 6 items, and then they’ll ship them to you in a reusable bag with a sticker to mail it back at the end of the month.
You can wear everything all month long. Then 2-3 business days before your billing date, you drop it off at a UPS with the new prepaid return label on it.
Oh, and they also wash everything so you don’t have to!
How much does Nuuly cost?
Nuuly Rent costs $88 plus tax. It includes your choice of 6 items for the month, as well as, fast, free shipping and returns. They also do the laundry and dry cleaning for you. You can also add on additional items for a little more.

Sustainability
Whether you’re trying to be green or just have a small closet, your Nuuly order is a great way to practice sustainability and look great at the same time!
The Price
While $88 gave us some pause, we decided to try it as part of a monthly clothing budget. Since doing so, we’ve had something fun to wear on special occasions and also been able to wear expensive items in our everyday life! Plus, it’s also a great way to try a few new pieces each month and play with your personal style a little more!
Customer Service
Nuuly subscription clothing also comes with customer service Monday-Friday. Each time we’ve chatted, we’ve had an actual human talking to us versus a robot.
Also, while we didn’t try, we did find others were able to get a bonus item added to their next Nuuly order if an item didn’t fit or had a defect.

My Experience Researching Nuuly
Most of the reviews were positive, and for good reason. The subscription service allows you to try new designers and makes online shopping a lot easier since you don’t have to focus on the price tag on each piece! With that said, we do wish you could exchange more often than just once a month.
Who is Nuuly best for?
Nuuly is a great deal for influencers, or anyone who loves a brand new outfit often! We love it for special occasions, parties, birthdays, photoshoots, vacation, and anytime we travel for work!

Who Is Nuuly Not Good For?
Nuuly isn’t great for someone who loves to wear the same thing over and over again. Also, if you hate looking over the reviews or trying a new style, Nuuly isn’t for you.
To get the best fit and use out of the subscription service, you’ll want to look over the reviews of each item you select.
Frequently Asked Questions About Nuuly
How Often Does Nuuly Get New Clothes?
Nuuly is always getting new clothes. I’m not sure how often, but if I had to guess I would say they add a dozen or so items each week.
Whatβs Nuuly Thrift?
Nuuly Thrift is a sister brand for the subscription service. They have hundreds of vintage styles to pick from in a wide variety of sizes. We’ve not tried it, but we love the idea of a massive, online thrift store!

Nuuly vs. Their Competitors
Nuuly vs Stitch Fix
Nuuly beats Stitch Fix for me hands down! I never understood the idea of paying for items to come to try on and then pay more to keep them.
Plus, the personal stylists are always hit or miss. I would much rather pick out what I want, wear it, and then send it back for them to clean.
Nuuly vs Rent the Runway
We’ve used Rent the Runway for glam-worthy events, but it never fit our everyday lives. We really like the casual styles offered with Nuuly.
My Overall Nuuly Review Rating 8/10
We dropped our Nuuly review rating from a 10/10 because it doesn’t have unlimited swaps. We didn’t love 2 of the pieces we received, and we were just stuck with them until we were ready to send the rest back.
Tips for Ordering Nuuly
- Always check the reviews for if it runs small or large
- Check out the new arrivals before selecting your 6 new items
- We recommend picking at least 1 piece outside of your comfort zone
- Remember you keep the items all month – so try for 1 or 2 mix-and-match items.
