Herbal Face Food kept popping up in our newsfeeds. The before and afters were so great that we started researching the 100% plant skincare brand. Even people on Reddit (who hate almost everything) were raving about it. So, we decided to order our own and share our review as we try it!
IMPORTANT NOTE: We’ve only tried The Serum I and The Cream for about 2 weeks, and our Cure just came. We’ll update in 1 month.
We promise to be 100% honest with our review — even if we don’t like it for some reason. Right now, we love the ingredients and before and afters, and we’re excited to share our results in a few weeks!
In full transparency – We signed up to be affiliates because it was free to sign up, and we wanted a discount code for us and for you!

What is Herbal Face Food?
Herbal Face Food is a powerful, 100% plant skincare line that offers potent anti-aging serums and creams. Their products contain no synthetic or man-made in ingredients, have been proven to be effective for anti-aging, and are even safe to eat.
Herbal Face Food currently offers The Serum I, The Serum II, The Serum III, The Cure, The Cream, and a bar soap called The Cure X. Each Serum has the same formula, but each step up boosts the intensity.
Therefore, you’d start with Serum I and potentially the The Cure for spot treating areas followed by The Cream for moisturizing and SPF. As you build up a tolerance, you’d bump up to The Serum II and then The Serum III.

Can I use Herbal Face Food with Tretinoin or retinol?
Both prescription Tretinoin and over-the-counter retinol may be too strong to use with Herbal Face Food. If you’re not ready to give up your Tretinoin or retinol, you could try Herbal Face Food in the morning and do Tretinoin or retinol at night though.
We love that Herbal Face Food can offer similar benefits without the dryness or peeling you can have with Tretinoin.
Does it make you sensitive to the sun?
Unlike Tretinoin and retinols, Herbal Face Food doesn’t make your skin extra sensitive to the sun. The Cream also has natural SPF 50 in it and is moisturizing if you’re concerned about the sun.
Is Herbal Face Food an MLM?
No, Herbal Face Food is not an MLM. They do not have levels, downlines, teams, rank, volume, or other things associated with MLMs (multi-level-marketing).
They do offer an affiliate program, but it’s more similar to a referral program than an MLM. Affiliates make percent when you use their link — AND you save 20% by using an affiliate’s code like KIMANDKALEE.

Our Skin Type
We are a mother-daughter duo with very similar skin. We have fair, sensitive skin, and we’ve both had sun damage from tanning beds.
I (Kalee) dealt with perioral dermatitis from 21 years old to 31 years old. I’m now 34, and I’ve had to be super careful about products I use.
So, it was important to me to find something nontoxic and yet effective for fighting aging, as well as, dermatitis, acne, and redness.
I’ve been using The Serum I and The Cream for about 2 weeks with my mom, and our Cure just came. So far, we’ve had only a good reaction to it!
It does smell like essential oils though. My husband could smell it when I went to bed, but so far it’s been worth it! Can’t wait to share our before and after photos!
Also, if you’re worried on the smell, The Cream is the most potent smelling in my opinion. It smells like turmeric to me.
Sensitive Skin Warning
I was a little hesitant to try the line because when we researched how “clean” the ingredients are. While it’s 100% plants, we noticed a couple of the ingredients are known to irritate sensitive skin.
So we did a test spot on the side of our face before applying any of the products to our whole face. We haven’t had any issues with the Serum, Cream, or Cure. Yay!
