10 Reasons to Try Naked Pea
1. Naked Pea is easily digested
Pea protein is typically easily digested compared to whey protein, but so many companies add unnecessary ingredients to their protein powder which leads to our stomaches aching after drinking a shake.
Naked Nutrition’s Naked Pea Protein Powder has none of that junk in it — which keeps our tummies feeling good!
2. It contains no Artificial ingredients or sweeteners like Sucralose.
Artificial sweeteners disrupt gut health and can leave you feeling cruddy. Naked Pea Double Chocolate and Chocolate Peanut Butter contain no artificial sweeteners or ingredients.
Plus, it’s just lightly sweet. You can always sweeten it up if you need, but we love that we can control the sweetness.
3. It tastes good!
We can’t speak to the plain Naked Pea or Vanilla flavors, but both the Double Chocolate and Chocolate Peanut Butter are delicious!
It doesn’t have any of that chalkiness we associate with pea protein, and it’s great on its own or mixed with something.
4. Naked Pea has a great amino acid profile for muscle growth.
A great amino acid profile is needed for muscle growth and post workout recovery. We’ve noticed we’re not as sore when we drink it!
Pea Protein is also easy to digest and studies have shown it can be as effective as whey protein for building muscle.

5. It mixes well!
Unlike so many other protein powders we’ve tried, Naked Pea actually mixes well. We used a small blender for our shake, but you could also mix it in a shaker cup if you wanted.
6. It’s versatile.
It’s one of the best tasting proteins we’ve tried, and it mixes easily. We like to use either the Naked Pea double chocolate or chocolate peanut butter on its own or as a base for our shake — mixing in a little cocoa, fresh banana, frozen blueberries, or a little nut butter.
We also make Protein Banana Bark using it, Lily’s chocolate chips, and fresh peanut butter!
7. You can bake with it!
Did you know pea protein is very heat stable? This means you get the same nutrients from it even if it’s heated up for a short time. This makes it easy to use for recipes like pancakes, brownies, and waffles!
8. Naked Pea packs a ton of protein and is still low in calories!
Each serving is 25 to 27 grams of protein per serving and 120 to 180 calories — which also makes a great option for us on the go! It keeps us full and makes it easy to get in a protein!
9. Naked Nutrition supports US and Canadian farmers.
They also use yellow split peas that are grown in the US and Canada using farming practices that are also sustainable and earth-friendly.
10. Naked Pea can also help your hair!
If you’re looking for a natural way to strengthen your hair — pea protein may help! Studies have shown pea sprout extract may help reduce hair loss and improve hair density. The protein in Naked Pea may also help with hair damage and breakage! Read more about the studies here
