Ingredients in Our High Protein Chocolate Banana Bark
โข 4 to 5 bananas
โข 1.5 cup Naked Pea Chocolate Peanut Butter protein powder
โข 1 cup water (or enough to desired consistency)
โข 1 cup melted chocolate chips (We used Lily’s unsweetened chocolate chips.)
โข Sprinkled Himalayan sea salt
You’ll also need parchment paper, cutting board, and a 9×13 baking sheet.
You may also want a little coconut oil to melt with your chocolate chips, but we didn’t use any. If you do vegan chocolate chips, the coconut oil will help.
How to Make High Protein Chocolate Banana Bark
Using a cutting board, slice bananas into rounds.
On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, place the banana slices into a rectangular shape.
In a small bowl, combine your protein powder and water. Add water until it’s your desired consistency. It should have a spreadable consistency.
In a separate microwave-safe bowl, microwave your chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second increments until they are melted. You will want to stir after each 30 seconds to prevent burning.
Spread the protein powder mixture over the layer of banana slices with the back of a spoon.
Now, pour your melted chocolate chips over the protein powder layer. Spread it with the back of a spoon to create an even layer.
Top with flakey sea salt and place in the freezer for 2 hours.
Take out 5 minutes before you’re ready to enjoy.
What makes this banana bark high in protein?

Our Favorite Protein Powder
We’ve tried several protein powders, but our favorite has been Naked Nutrition’s protein line. For this recipe, we used their Naked Pea Chocolate Peanut Butter protein powder, but they also have Almond Protein Powder and Whey Protein Powder.
All of Naked Nutrition’s proteins are free of questionable ingredients, artificial sugars, and preservatives. Their products we’ve tried have all been made in the US or Canada as well, and they’re third-party tested for quality.
The Naked Pea Chocolate Peanut Butter protein powder and the Double Chocolate are both mild in flavor, mix well, and don’t leave us bloated or with an upset stomach! We love to use them in this recipe, as well as, our shakes and our bowls of oatmeal or yogurt!
Each serving also has 25-27 grams of protein, and you can bake with it as well! You can get 20% off your first order when you take their supplement quiz here!
This viral chocolate banana bark is our favorite sweet treat right now, and it’s a healthier alternative to candy or ice cream because it uses all clean ingredients! Below is the recipe card with the full nutrition facts.
