We love being able to make a hot, toasted ham and cheese sandwich in the air fryer! It’s so quick and kids love them too!
When we were deciding on an air fryer — we wanted it mostly to get bagged, frozen vegetables and fries crispy! Now, we’re using it for just about everything! These easy ham and cheese sliders are even a fun weeknight dinner!

What You’ll Need Air Fryer Ham and Cheese Sliders
These mini sandwiches are basically hot ham and cheese sliders with mayo. Aioli is just mayonnaise with spices in it!
To make them you’ll need:
- 8 King’s Hawaiian rolls
- 6 slices of sweet ham
- 8 oz of Swiss cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of dill
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
How to Make Air Fryer King’s Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sliders
- Cut King’s Hawaiian rolls in half and place 2 slices of ham folded to fit and 1 oz of cheese
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise and spices to make the aioli. Apply 1/2 tablespoon of aioli to top bun and place on the cheese.
- Place sliders in the air fryer basket and cook on 350 for 5 minutes.
What cheese goes best with honey ham?
Swiss, cheddar cheese, provolone, and white cheddar cheese go well with honey ham. You can also use your favorite cheese as well!
Why is a slider called a slider?
The name started in the 1940’s when U.S. Navy sailors started calling small burgers sliders because of their greasiness! The bite size burgers are still popular today, and luckily, sometimes less greasy!
