Avoiding distractions is the key to making the most of your gratitude journal. In addition to finding a set time to write, it’s also essential you journal in a place that’s free of distractions. So, make sure to close the door and turn off your phone so you can place your focus on your journal.
Focus on the positive.
Gratitude journaling is designed to help you focus on the good things that are happening in your life. That means it’s important to focus on positive aspects instead of dwelling on the negative.
Use journal prompts.
While some days, you may find that your mind is overflowing with journal ideas, other days it may be difficult to find something to write about. Gratitude journal prompts are a great way to get your mind churning when you’re drawing a blank.
