31. Costume Contest
On your invitations, make sure to let your guest know that creative costumes are encouraged! We love to award small prizes for best dressed guest, too!
You could also do a themed dress up party for adults!
32. Pumpkin Carving Contest
A carving contest is one of the classic Halloween party games that are perfect for an outdoor party! We love the idea of everyone having a set time to carve and then having people vote on social media for their favorite!
33. Fear Factor
Have an adventurous set of friends or a young daring teen? A DIY Fear Factor could be the hit of any party! You could have box of worms for them to have to touch or weird food to eat….nothing dangerous, but still icky!
34. Ghost Races
This has to be one of our favorite outdoor Halloween games! A Ghost Race is a traditional potato sack, but instead of a potato sack — you use a white pillow case and draw a ghost face on it beforehand. Younger kids will love getting to decorate their bag ahead of time too!
35. Pumpkin Matching Game
A matching game is a great option that is pretty inexpensive! You could use large pumpkins or find mini pumpkins depending on your space and place pictures or numbers on each pumpkin’s bottom. The kid with the most matches in a set time period wins!
This is one of our favorite games for little kids, and you could even do small prizes!
36. Mummy Wrap
The mummy wrap is a fun party game for younger children. To play you want to create teams and choose one person to be the “Mummy”. When the timer starts, the group will start wrapping their mummy! The team has to try to cover their “Mummy” with as much toilet paper as possible without tearing it before the timer hits zero.
The team with the most covered “Mummy” wins!
37. Bobbing for Apples
Bobbing for apples has a different vibe to it after 2020, but you can definitely still try it in 2022! You could even give each kid their own smaller bowl and one apple to bob for if you wanted!

After the fun Halloween activities and themed games, you could always sit down to watch a scary movie with your friends!
