The LES MILLS On Demand’s BARRE workout is unlike anything we’ve ever tried (and we mean this in a positive way)!
Not only can you do this workout in your own home, but if you’ve always wanted to have a workout that is focused on a bit more ballet dance and stretching and elongating your muscles, this is the one for you.
It’s such a great feeling knowing that you can literally wake up and get started on your workout right away. No more battling traffic or Mother Nature to get your workout in for the day.
What is LES MILLS on Demand BARRE?
BARRE is an amazing 30-minute workout that resembles some very basic moves of ballet. It’s also a workout that is going to work on toning and elongating muscles while also working on your core as well.
Each class starts with a warm-up, and then builds into a cardio peak. Classes also include ballet strength poses and target balletic conditioning for a total body workout.
All you need is yourself and a pair of light weights for any of the classes.

What makes LES MILLS BARRE different than other barre workouts?

How Many Calories do you Burn During a LES MILLS on Demand BARRE Class?
The amount of calories that you can burn in a class is totally up to you but on average but it’s reasonable to be able to burn hundreds of calories in a 30-minute workout.
The harder you work, the more calories that you’re going to be able to burn.

How do get LES MILLS On Demand BARRE workouts?
All you need is LES MILLS On Demand and either a computer, smartphone (with the LES MILLS On Demand app), or a TV with a streaming device.
We personally use an Apple TV and play it on our TV, but it’s available on many streaming devices!

What equipment do you need for this workout?
Nada. You don’t need any equipment to do this workout.
If you want to add in some light weights that it totally up to you but it’s not a requirement to get started.
Is LES MILLS on Demand BARRE classes a total body workout?
In our minds it is! It worked our legs, our core, and our arms out really, really well!
From top to bottom, we felt it throughout our entire bodies every time that we did a workout.
Is there a modifier?
For most of the Les Mills workouts, there isn’t. But all you need to do to make your own modifier is listen to your body and make changes as you need to.
How many times a week should you do a BARRE class?
This is up to you and your schedule but doing this workout 2-3x’s per week is a great start.
You can then alternate with other Les Mills On Demand workouts for the other days to really get a great variance.

interesting! i already have a LM subscription for RPM and am looking to expand a bit. we have LM barre at the gym but I’m quite nervous to go! so I’ll try this at home for sure now!
