What is LES MILLS On Demand GRIT?
LES MILLS offers 2 classes – GRIT Strength and GRIT Cardio.
Both are extreme and for advanced exercisers, and both have incredible music to push you further!
These classes are 30 minute HIIT workouts designed to help you get max results in less time! You’ll have to give it your absolute all for 30 minutes, but the workouts are designed to take your strength, speed, and cardiovascular fitness to the next level.
HIIT, or high intensity interval training, is where you push yourself to a 9 or 10 on an excursion scale of 1-10 for a short period of time. Then, you’re allowed to recover. Then you do it again – hence the interval part of it.

What to Expect in a GRIT Workout
Both GRIT Cardio and GRIT Strength are intense! You should expect plyometric moves, agility exercises, and weighted exercises like squats, lunges, clean and presses, and deadrows.
As for the cardio moves – there are a lot of burpees, mountain climbers, and plyo-type jumps.

What equipment do you need?
For LES MILLS GRIT Strength, you’ll use a barbell, weight plates, and your own body weight to tone your whole body in just a half hour.
For GRIT Cardio, you’ll use your own body weight.
You may also want a bottle of water and a towel, but those items are optional.
Is it a total body workout?
Yes, both the strength and cardio workouts are total body workouts.
Is there a modifier?
While the workout is designed to fit your level of fitness, there isn’t a designated modifier. So if you’re new to working out or not familiar with the moves mentioned above, I’d suggest trying something a little easier first and build up to a one of these classes.
How many times a week can I do LES MILLS GRIT?
LES MILLS suggests doing a GRIT class 2x a week because of how intense it is.
You can always do a BODYCOMBAT, BODYPUMP or another program on LES MILLS On Demand on the other days. When we interviewed Rachael Newsham from BODYCOMBAT and SHA’BAM she also suggested the trainer series!
How do I get LES MILLS GRIT?
If you want to stream GRIT at home, you’ll need a LES MILLS on Demand membership.
